YOUTH AWARDS

Our Youth Awards is a celebration of the achievements and successes of our youngest members from the past 12 months!

This year we’re combining our Youth Awards & Water Day and will be hosting the event at Okahu Bay, Ōrākei! All are welcome to register for this event!

Event Details:
Sunday 7th December
Okahu Bay, Ōrākei
9:30am - 2:00pm

Activities & Schedule:
9:30am - Achilles run, walk, push (30 minutes)
11:00am - Youth Awards Ceremony
11:30am - Water & beach activities, (kayaks, paddleboards & beach games)
12:00pm - Mini BBQ (please bring additional food for family/whanau)
2:00pm - Wrap up!

This year we’re proudly presenting four awards to outstanding youth members of our community.

Each award features three finalists, nominated by friends, family/whanau, teammates or coaches in recognition of their dedication and achievements over the past year.

Below is the criteria for each award.

youth spirit of the year

A person who has shown a positive spirit towards Disability Sport Auckland programmes and events and represents DSA with pride.

A person who has shown leadership within sport, recreation and play as well as always encourages others to give 100%.

LEADERSHIP

MOST IMPROVED

A person who is determined to show improvement within sport, recreation and play.

all-round participation

A person who is never afraid to try new sports, is positive towards themself and others, and always has a smile on their face.
