Women & Girls Day!
On Sunday 9th November, we hosted our Women & Girls Day, a celebration dedicated to empowering women and girls with disabilities through inclusive, confidence boosting activities that encourage physical wellbeing, self expression and community connection.
We started off the morning with a calming adaptive yoga session led by Jen the Adaptive Yogi, creating a welcoming, judgement free space where everyone could move in ways that felt good to them. Energy levels quickly ramped up with a high intensity dance workshop from the Royal Family Dance Crew, who taught exciting and challenging choreography that had participants stepping outside their comfort zones and having a blast.
The inspiration kept flowing with an engaging conversation featuring Charli Gardiner-Hall & Kate Danaher, who shared their personal journeys in athletics and the impact sports has had on their lives.
To end the day on a high, we headed to the Wero Whitewater Park, where participants teamed up to take on the fast rapids, an unforgettable, adrenaline filled finale!
The event was a huge success and we were stoked to bring it to life. Stay tuned for more exciting Women & Girls events coming soon!
